IKenya Airways ikhathazekile ngokuvulwa kwezulu lase-Afrika

I-Kenya Airways izwakalise ukukhathazeka ngezinhlelo zokukhulula isibhakabhaka sase-Afrika ithi lesi sinyathelo sizoba nomthelela omkhulu ekukhuleni kwayo.

Inkampani yezindiza ithi lesi sivumelwano, esisayinwe ekupheleni kukaJanuwari nonyaka, sishiya inkampani yezindiza isengozini enkulu yokuncintisana namazwe asazovula indawo yawo yezindiza.

Ngesikhathi sesivumelwano sangoMasingana zingama-28 e-Addis Ababa, e-Ethiopia, izinhloko zezwe zase-Afrika ezingama-23 zanezela ukusayina kwazo eMakethe yezokuthutha zase-Afrika yase-Singe efuna ukwakha inqubomgomo evuleleke emoyeni yendawo yomoya yase-Afrika.

Uthe iKenya Airways icwaninga ngomthelela wesivumelwano esibophezela amazwe ase-Afrika emakethe eyodwa ewaphoqa ukuthi ahlukane nemigomo yokuvikela izindiza zase-Afrika.

“Ngicabanga ukuthi iKenya iyisimanje ngokwedlulele kulokho, ngoba siyimakethe evulekele kakhulu eyenza izinkampani eziningi zezindiza zindize ziye eNairobi. Kuyasiza kakhulu, kodwa kufanele siqaphele,” kusho yena.

UMikosz uthe inkampani yezindiza enohulumeni waseKenya njengabanikazi bamasheya abaningi abanamasheya angu-49%, ihlela ukuthenga izindiza ezengeziwe ukuze zikwazi ukunwebeka, nezinye izinhlelo zokwethula izindiza eziya ngqo eKapa naseMauritius.

UMikosz uqhube wathi inkampani yezindiza yehlise ukulahlekelwa kwayo ngemuva kwentela isuka ezigidini eziyizinkulungwane eziyi-10 ngo-2016 yaya ku-6.1 billion ngonyaka odlule.
