Ukuhamba ngesikhathi se-COVID-19 kwakunzima, kunzima futhi kudla isikhathi ngenxa yezidingo zokuhamba ezibekwe uhulumeni.

I-International Air Transport Association (IATA) imemezele imiphumela ye-2022 Global Passenger Survey (GPS), ekhombisa ukuthi ukukhathazeka okuphezulu kwabahambi ngokuhamba ngesikhathi senhlekelele yangemva kwe-COVID kugxile ekwenzeni lula kanye nokwenza lula.

“Abahambi banamuhla balindele okwenziwa ku-inthanethi okufanayo njengoba bekuthola kubathengisi abakhulu Amazon. Ukudayiswa kwezindiza kuqhuba impendulo kulezi zidingo. Ukusiza Ukuhamba

Abahambi abaningi bazimisele ukwabelana ngolwazi lwabo lokuthuthela kwelinye izwe ukuze bacutshungulwe kalula.  
 

  • U-37% wabahambi uthe udikibaliswe ukuya endaweni ethile ngenxa yezidingo zabokufika. Ubunkimbinkimbi benqubo bugqanyiswe njengesivimbelo esikhulu ngabahambi abangu-65%, izindleko ezikhonjiwe ezingu-12% kanye nesikhathi esingu-8%.

  • U-83% wabahambi uthe bazocobelelana ngolwazi lwabo lokuthuthela kwelinye izwe ukuze kusheshiswe uhlelo lokufika esikhumulweni sezindiza. Yize lokhu kuphezulu, kwehle kancane ukusuka kuma-88% aqoshwe ngo-2021.

Izinqubo Zesikhumulo Sezindiza

Abagibeli bazimisele ukusizakala ngobuchwepheshe kanye nezinqubo zokucatshangelwa kabusha ukuze bathuthukise ukwazi kwabo esikhumulweni sezindiza nokuphatha imithwalo yabo. 
 

  • Abagibeli bazimisele ukuqedela ukucubungula izinto ngaphandle kwesikhumulo sezindiza. U-44% wabahambi bakhombe ukungena njengokukhetha kwabo okuphezulu ekucubunguleni ngaphandle kwesikhumulo sezindiza. Izinqubo zokuthuthela kwelinye izwe kwakungeyesibili "i-top-pick" edume kakhulu kuma-32%, ilandelwa yimithwalo. Futhi u-93% wabagibeli banentshisekelo kuhlelo olukhethekile lwabahambi abathembekile (ukuhlolwa okungemuva) ukuze kusheshiswe ukuhlolwa kokuphepha. 
  • Abagibeli banentshisekelo kwezinye izinketho zokuphatha imithwalo. Abangu-67% bangaba nentshisekelo ekuthathweni nokulethwa kwasekhaya kanye no-73% ezinkethweni zokungena bekude. U-80% wabagibeli uthe maningi amathuba okuthi bahlole isikhwama uma bengasiqapha kulo lonke uhambo. Futhi u-50% uthe basebenzise noma bangathanda ukusebenzisa ithegi yesikhwama sikagesi. 
  • Abagibeli babona inani ku-biometric identification. U-75% wabagibeli ufuna ukusebenzisa idatha ye-biometric esikhundleni samapasi namaphasi okugibela. Abangaphezu kwengxenye eyodwa kwezintathu sebevele banolwazi lokuhlonza i-biometric ohambweni lwabo, ngezinga lokwaneliseka elingu-88%. Kodwa ukuvikelwa kwedatha kusalokhu kuwukukhathazeka cishe kuhhafu wabahambi.

“Abagibeli babona ngokusobala ubuchwepheshe buwukhiye wokuthuthukisa ukusebenza kwezinhlelo zesikhumulo sezindiza. Bafuna ukufika esikhumulweni sezindiza sebelungele ukundiza, badlule esikhumulweni sezindiza kuzo zombili iziphetho zohambo lwabo ngokushesha kakhudlwana besebenzisa i-biometrics futhi bazi ukuthi imithwalo yabo ikuphi ngaso sonke isikhathi. Ubuchwepheshe bukhona ukusekela lokhu kuzizwisa okuhle. Kodwa sidinga ukubambisana kulo lonke uchungechunge lwenani kanye nohulumeni ukuze kwenzeke. Futhi sidinga ukuqhubeka siqinisekisa abagibeli ukuthi imininingwane edingekayo ukusekela isipiliyoni esinjalo izogcinwa ngokuphepha,” kusho uCareen.

I-COVID-19 isize ohulumeni baqonde amandla okuba abagibeli babelane nabo ngolwazi lwabo lokuhamba ngokuqondile nangaphambi kohambo namandla ezinqubo ze-biometric ukuthuthukisa ukuphepha nezinqubo zokusiza nokusebenzisa ngokuphumelelayo izinsiza eziyivelakancane. Ukwanda kwama-e-gates ezikhumulweni zezindiza kufakazela ukusebenza kahle okungazuzwa. Okubalulekile ukusekela izindinganiso ze-OneID ngomthetho ukuvumela ukusetshenziswa kwayo ukuze kwakheke umuzwa ongenazihibe kuzo zonke izingxenye zohambo lwabagibeli.
