The purpose of a code share is to make air travel easier, by allowing travelers to travel across the networks of multiple airlines with a single reservation, in order to reach their final destination.
Alongside the current Korean Air's routes between Seoul – New York and Seoul – São Paulo, the codeshare flights to Buenos Aires will provide greater convenience and choice to passengers of both airlines travelling to and from Argentina.
The new codeshare on the route via New York will commence on March 25, 2015, and the route via São Paulo will take effect after April upon obtaining regulatory approval, offering greater convenience and choice to passengers.
